Slone Associates, Inc.
assists businesses with employee benefit plan designs, in the areas of group medical, group life, disability, dental and qualified retirement plans. We have specialist that work with business owners on estate and business planning for closely held family businesses to help assure the continuation of that business.

Principals
Stephen A. Slone
Steve Slone, founder and Principal of the company, has more than 17 years in
developing and managing employee benefit programs. He is expert in the area of health care
benefit designs. He works with companies with FASB-106 issues and developing solutions and
benefit programs for retirees. Steve, also works with companies interested in long term
care insurance programs for their employees.
Steve received his B.S. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1982 and is a certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist.

Carl J. Slone
Carl Slone, joined Steve as a Principal in 1998. Carl has over 20 years of
experience in developing employee benefits programs. He spent 20 years with Trigon Blue
Cross Blue Shield. When he retired in 1998, he was Senior Vice-President of Sales. Carl
works with large employers of health care benefit design, developing employee benefit
programs and senior employee issues.
Carl received his B.A. degree from University of Richmond in 1960. |
Associates
Greg Bales
Greg Bales, associate with
Slone Associates, Inc.
with over 14 years of experience in the financial
planning services field. Greg, specializes in the area of financial planning services,
estate planning, qualified and non-qualified benefit programs. Greg has implemented many
executive compensation programs, including group carve-out, life & disability buy-out
sell agreements, and deferred compensation plans. He is experience in the design,
implementation and servicing of 401k and profit sharing plans.
Greg has been associated with Mass Mutual over the past 14 years. Greg is a
registered representative with Mass Mutual Life Investors Services.
Greg graduated from the University of Virginia in 1985.

David S. Slone, CPA
Scott Slone, joined the firm in 1998 as an associate, specializing in tax work.
Scott brings 12 years of experience working as a tax accountant to small businesses. He
also works with business owners in lowering both their income taxes and estate taxes. He
and Greg bring a unique combination together in evaluating the net worth of the business
and net worth of the business owner. Scott brings personal service and expertise in taxes
and estate planning to our firm and he is committed to helping our clients with their tax
issues.
Scott received his B.S. degree in Accounting form Virginia Commonwealth
University in 1987. |
